OPC’s Hadera Power Station is seeking a maintenance engineer. The role includes responsibility for the technical readiness of the station’s essential engineering and mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and executing preventative maintenance, routine maintenance, and addressing breakdowns
  • Specifying and determining inventory levels and availability of spare parts
  • Mechanical documentation management and control
  • Scheduling regulatory tests for safety compliance and adherence to legal requirements
  • Providing technical and engineering support to the station, addressing and resolving engineering challenges and issues
  • Identifying and proposing effective solutions for failure handling / failure investigations
  • Implementing engineering procedures and updating standards
  • Preparing monthly reports
  • Planning and implementing projects and CAPEX

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in mechanical engineering
  • Up to 5 years experience as a maintenance engineer in a process plant
  • Proficiency in Windows and Office – required
  • Process understanding – advantage
  • Knowledge in maintenance management with EAM systems (SAP knowledge – advantage)
  • English proficiency
  • Workdays are Sunday to Thursday, 7:00-16:00, and availability for on-call duty 24/7

Hadera Power Station Control Engineer

Job Description

The role entails responsibility for the ongoing maintenance of the power station’s industrial IT and control system.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of HMI and DCS central control systems
  • Maintenance of PLCs at the station and periodic backups according to procedures
  • Responsibility for the operational network’s cyber systems and liaison with the IT department and the Ministry of Energy’s cyber unit
  • Support with malfunctions and work with equipment and electricity, as needed
  • Appointment as Essential IT Infrastructures supervisor
  • Responsibility for the SAP process and routine maintenance planning at the station
  • Collaboration with all disciplines at the station: operations, mechanical, equipment, and electrical

Job Requirements:

  • Mechanical or Control Engineer / Electronics Engineer / Electrical Engineer
  • Experience with programmed controllers (PLC) and HMI
  • Process understanding, understanding of industrial communication protocols and information security – advantage
