OPC ENERGY is looking for a Control Room and Field Operator for the power plants in Mishor Rotem.
The role includes responsibility for full control of electricity and steam generation systems, maintaining station availability, overseeing routine operations and functioning in emergency situations, striving to reduce potential risks of system failures, and maintaining the company’s reputation (production continuity).
The work takes place in shifts, 24/7 – including holidays and weekends.
Job requirements:
- Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Water Systems / Instrumentation and Control Engineering
Advantage will be given to experience in one of the following:
- Several years of practical experience in a process industry – heavy industry – as an operator – including knowledge of rotating equipment and heavy equipment or work with steam systems.
- Technical background, experience working with pumps / filters / fans, ability to read blueprints and technical literature.
- Former maintenance or operations personnel from Navy, Technical or Air Force units.
The training period is paid and will last approximately 6-8 months, and will include professional training and certifications, safety training and certifications, and additional training required to perform the job.

The power plant in Mishor Rotem (15 minutes south of Dimona) requires an Instrumentation & Control Technician/Engineer.
To perform work on the instrumentation and control systems at the power plant, while maintaining high availability, safety, and operational efficiency in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Performing maintenance activities in the field of instrumentation and control at the power plant, including troubleshooting equipment, preventive and planned maintenance, calibrating process equipment such as: pressure, temperature, flow, controlled valves, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, gas detectors, pH transmitters, vibration meters, analytical equipment.
- Performing logical operations in process computers for the purpose of identifying malfunctions and changes according to process requirements.
- Performing backups and troubleshooting hardware in process computers.
- Maintenance responsibility in the human-machine interface (HMI) – updating screens, graphics, etc.
- Performing various projects at the station from the initiation stage to implementation for improvement and efficiency in the areas of control and instrumentation.
- Working with various interfaces at the station: operations, electrical departments, mechanics, safety, information systems professionally while providing fast service.
- Performing actions for cyber protection at the station.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as an instrument technician in an industrial plant or power plant.
- Familiarity and use of calibration equipment such as BEAMEX, HART, etc.
- Familiarity with various communication protocols such as MODBAS, MODBAS+, ETHERNET, TCPIP, etc.
- Familiarity, knowledge, and experience with stack sampling systems (CEMS).
- Familiarity, knowledge, and experience in an OFFICE, ERP-SAP, PI work environment (advantage).
- Electrician license – advantage.
- Technician/Engineer degree in a relevant field.
