OPC ENERGY is looking for a Control Room & Field Operator for its power plants in Rotem Plain.

The role includes responsibility for full control of the systems that generate electricity and steam, maintaining station availability, overseeing routine operations and functioning in emergency situations, striving to reduce potential risks of system failures, and maintaining the company’s reputation (production continuity).

The work is carried out in shifts, 24/7 – including holidays and Saturdays.

Job Requirements:

* Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical / Water Systems / Instrumentation & Control)

Advantage will be given to experience in one of the following areas:

* Practical experience of several years in a process industry – heavy, as an operator – including knowledge of rotating equipment and heavy equipment or work with steam systems.
* Technical background, experience working with pumps / filters / fans, ability to read drawings and technical literature.
* Former roles in the maintenance or operation of Navy, Technical Corps, or Air Force units.

The training period is paid and will last approximately 6-8 months. It will include professional training and certifications, safety training and certifications, and additional training required to perform the role.

Responsibilities:

• Performing maintenance activities in the field of instrumentation and control in the power plant, including troubleshooting instrumentation, preventive and planned maintenance, calibration of process instrumentation such as: pressure transmitters, temperature, flow, controlled valves, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, gas detectors, pH, vibration meters, analytical instrumentation.
• Performing logical operations on process computers for the purpose of identifying faults and changes according to process requirements.
• Performing backups and troubleshooting hardware on process computers.
• Maintenance responsibility in the human-machine interface (HMI) – updating screens, graphics, etc.
• Carrying out various projects in the station from the initiation stage to implementation for improvement and efficiency in the fields of control and instrumentation.
• Working with various interfaces in the station: operations, electrical, mechanical, safety, information systems departments professionally while providing fast service.
• Performing cyber protection activities at the station.

Job requirements:

• Proven experience as an instrument technician in an industrial plant or power plant.
• Familiarity and use of calibration equipment such as HART, BEAMEX, etc.
• Familiarity with various communication protocols such as MODBAS, MODBAS+, ETHERNET, TCPIP, etc.
• Familiarity, knowledge and experience with flue gas sampling systems (CEMS).
• Familiarity, knowledge and experience in OFFICE, ERP-SAP and PI working environment (advantage).
• Electrician license – advantage.
• Practical engineer/technician degree in a relevant field.
